I have to work all week and can't bring my child in, do you have extended hours in the evening and on the weekends? We offer extended hours Monday thru Friday, 8am to 8pm, and Saturdays from 8am to 12pm. Depending on your child's needs; they may need to be seen more than one time per week. Our flexible hours make this possible. What professionals will be working with my child? At Cole Therapy Center, we have over 150 licensed therapists in the disciplines of Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy available to cater to the needs of your child. We work hard to pair children with a professional trained in specific therapy techniques. Do you all do group or individual treatment sessions?Therapy sessions are individual (1 therapist to 1 child). Each therapy session is one hour in length. If my child needs more than one therapy discipline, can they be done at the same time (ie, can he/she get physical and occupational therapy at the same time)? We offer co-treatment sessions when deemed beneficial for your child. In co-treatment sessions, different therapies come together to maximize your child's ability to absorb and benefit from both therapies in ways that would not have been achieved if the therapies had been conducted separately. We recognize that your child may have multiple disorders affecting one another. My child already gets therapy at school, would he/she benefit from additional therapy? At Cole Therapy Center, we offer individualized therapy sessions. One-on-one attention ensures that they therapy session is focused on the child. In contrast, school-based therapy is typically conducted in 30-minute, group sessions (one therapist with multiple children). We work very closely with the school therapist to ensure that we are attaining the same goals. What types of disorders do you work with?We work with a wide array of disorders and disabilities, some of which include (but are not limited to) Autism, Down Syndrome, Speech/Language Difficulties, Feeding and Swallowing Disorders, Hearing Impairments, CerebralPalsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Spina Bifida, ADD/ADHD, Sensory Integration, Handwriting, Orthopedic Conditions, Traumatic Brain Injuries and much more. How long will therapy take? There is no way to determine the answer to this question. The therapy process is dependent on the number of sessions needed, the type and severity of the disorder, any co-occurring disorders, compliance during therapy, and homework completion. All of these factors may affect the length of the therapy program. |
